Helping unemployed through a new model of intervention. EQW&L is a cooperation between 16 European partners. Modern toolkit facilitates the entry of unemployed people into the labour market through work-life balance policies.
This project received funding under the call for proposals VP/2018/005 of the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission. The grant was awarded by the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) as a result of the call for proposals on social innovation and national reforms - Innovative work-life balance strategies.
The goal of EQW&L is to develop and test a series of strategies, a new intervention model and toolkit that facilitate the access of unemployed people to the labor market, who are hindered in the find employment due their work-life conflict. The project also supports SMEs, active in the social economy sector, in building awareness of the potential of creating workplaces that guarantee a balance between work and private life.
The project is promoted by a multi-level European partnership with ANPAL, the Italian National public body responsible for PES, as applicant, and 5 co-applicants: Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, a research centre with sound scientific background and over 20 years of experiences in implementing studies and transnational projects; CGM, an umbrella association of SMEs in the social economy field; UIL, a national social partner; IWEO, the Spanish Institute for Women; the WorkLife HUB a Belgian work-life balance consultancy company and REFORM, the association of Norwegian Fathers. A comprehensive list of associated partners supports the project: the Regional authorities of Campania, Piemonte, and Toscana and the Autonomous Province of Trento, social partners European and national and level (ETUC, CEEP, UIL, CGIL, CISL) and the Italian Department for Gender Equality.
EQW&L - open, innovative and inclusive approach.
The implementation of the project is organised in six phases. It includes the setting up of the project, developing and testing the EQW&L toolkit, data analysis, general project evaluation, dissemination and up-scaling, as well as project management. As main expected results the project aims to implement a set of tested strategies and tools for work life balance addressing the needs of the involved target groups (unemployed persons and SMEs).
